Car Travel Checklist
The drive may be anywhere from a 3 to 9 hour drive. Here's what you need to be more comfortable.
BASICS:
Itineraries, tickets and reservation confirmations
Hotel Discount Cards / Info
Maps & Directions
Wallet and/or purse and cash (Don't forget the most obvious things)
Credit cards and/or traveler's checks (Plus list of numbers of both)
ID or driver's license
Car and house keys
Cell Phone (It may / may not work up there. who knows)
Phone card (Both for local and international calls)
Watch / Timepiece
Medical insurance cards / AAA Card
Walkie-Talkies & accessories (ONLY if it has sub-channels)
Driving Glasses
FIRST AID
Medication that you may need (Interpret as necessary)
Motion Sickness Tablets
Band-aids | Compression bandages
Diarrhea tablets
Tylenol | Pain Reliever, Fever Reducer
Roadside Emergency Kit
Duct Tape (Fixes everything!)
Flashlight or torch (Don't forget the batteries)
Snow Shovel
Car Jack
RECOMMENDATIONS
Small plastic bags
Compass
Caffeine: Tablets | Beverage (No falling asleep at the wheel)
Walkman, Discman, Minidisc or MP3 player (Including music and batteries)
Throw Blanket and Neck Pillow
Hackey Sacks, pack of cards or other recreational items
Bottled water
Chewing gum or mints (Chewing something will help your ears)
Snacks for trip up
Eating utensils
Something small for entertainment (Books | Magazines | Pocket Games | Game Boy | Playing Cards)
Small cooler (ONE PER CAR)
